A bit of history – how PDX Kids Calendar got started…
In August of 2010, Ali Wilkinson started PDX Kids Calendar, when, as a new mom, she found herself always looking for fun, easily-accessible activities for her and her beautiful son, Grady. She found a number of calendars out there with fun activities for kids, but really wanted a comprehensive one that could be searched easily by neighborhood. She created a simple blog with weekly events postings called PDX Kids Calendar to fill that gap.
In February of 2011, another Portland mom, Tabitha Rhodes joined Ali to expand the brand and tell more families about this amazing resource. Over the next 2 years, together the built a highly-valued resource in the Portland family community.
In March of 2013, PDX Kids Calendar joined forces with Metro Parent magazine. And the rest, as they say, is history.
